If that would be passed incorrectly from the SA to the control how comes then that it works fine for most people?

I am guessing this from the response generated by ping rcp3650 showing packets being sent and received from the named PC. Plus the net name command returns RCP3650 and the user currently logged on. I have attached the host file that is being loaded when Sa starts up. load startup info from registry is also ticked. >From the w2k system properties This PC is located in a workgroup called WORKGROUP and not in a domain change primary dns suffix when membership changes is ticked with it entry box blank netbios computer name box shows RCP3650 Thanks Robert Fernando www.rowanclose.com Fax +44(0)870-133-1992 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dirk Bulinckx" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, December 03, 2003 11:59 AM Subject: RE: [SA-list] nt process monitoring problem > The hostname that you enter within the GUI. > > > > > Dirk. > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf > Of pc.athome -ntlworld > Sent: Wednesday, December 03, 2003 12:51 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [SA-list] nt process monitoring problem > > Hi Dirk, > Is it possible to verify what that PC name / IP address being posted to this > control is ? > > May be the control you are using to query processes is receiving the wrong > PC name. > > I know that the list of process running on the PC can be retrieved, > correctly , by using a little app I wrote called killps.
