Instead of " Servers Alive v4 Standard Edition: $99 (was $119) "
In should be: " Servers Alive v4 Standard Edition: $119 (was $99)" We can direct invoice for EURO payment, however this can only be done with payment via wiretransfer, not via creditcard payment. Best regards Oliver -----Original Message----- From: Dirk Bulinckx [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, January 02, 2004 1:44 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [SA-list] Pricing change at Woodstone Price changes as of today: Servers Alive v4 Enterprise Edition: $219 (was $179) Servers Alive v4 Standard Edition: $99 (was $119) Upgrade from v4 Standard to Enterprise: $106 (was $85) Upgrade from older to v4 Standard: $56 (was $45) Upgrade from older to v4 Enterprise: $138 (was $111) Support/maintenance contract: $85 (was $69) Reason? See below. At Woodstone, we are constantly working to improve the quality of our products and to maintain our highly competitive pricing structure. As a Belgian based company, all our expense obligations are incurred in EURO, and all our revenues are converted to EUROS. All of our staff are paid in EUROS that derive solely from your purchases. In times of US Dollar stability this has been very convenient, both for our customers and for us, because the US Dollar is so highly regarded that most people are aware of the exchange rate between their own currency and the US Dollar. It has rarely been necessary or desirable to quote our prices in any other currency. However in times of extreme volatility, we face something of a dilemma. We are very reluctant to raise our prices, but we also need to maintain our revenues in EURO terms. For example, from January 2001 to December 2004, the US Dollar fell sharply against the EUROr, from a peak of 1.1 down to .8 (or, put in US$ terms, from US$0.90 to US$1.25 per EURO). This represents a loss of a more then 25% of our revenue purely as a result of changing currency values. We could not indefinitely withstand such a decline. As a result of the major variations in international exchange rates, we've concluded that it is necessary to peg our prices to a nominal EURO price range, the midpoint of which will then be quoted at the equivalent rate in the major international currencies, particularly the US Dollar. We will maintain our practice of keeping the US Dollar price as stable as possible, within that price range. Only when the EURO income that we receive falls below the lower end of the range will we change our quoted prices. And of course, when the exchange rates go the other way, and the income we receive goes above the upper end of the range, we will also adjust downwards immediately. By this means we intend to maintain as stable a value proposition as possible in a world of floating exchange rates. We believe this is in everyones best interests. Our products will still provide exceptional value for money. We will continue to work as smart and as hard as we know how to provide you with quality networking tools at affordable prices. Dirk.
