I think changing the check is the wrong way to go. Isn't there a whitelist
for your spam filter?  A way to exclude the Salive emails?

Ok, I'm showing the following subject in the emails that are being sent:
"[SPAM] 12345676788900"

These sometime don't make it to the destination mailbox.

Now I know that the numbers are a slightly randomized date time stamp, and
I'm assuming that the "[SPAM]" part is being conviently added by my
companies spam service (Sprint, I believe). I have spoken with some other
email admins and the general thought is that it is being marked as spam
because of either the "numbers only in the subject line" rule, or the "no
message body" rule.

Can either of these attributes of the outbound message be changed?
