Stop using 4.0.1302, update to 4.1 (a v4 license will work on it)

Thanks I knew about the import function already.

I have found that I have been editing the file correctly, however the entires do not correctly appear in v 4.0.1302.  When I add additional checks to servers all the new checks appear in under one server only, despite the fact that I change the "#DEP=31" entries in the hostfile as well as the server names etc. When one of the incorrect entries (disk space for example) is moved to another server, all entries suddenly appear correctly???? When I save the file in SA then do a comparison to my original there are no differences.

Best regards
Michael Peters

Hostfile format is not documented.
You can use the import function (edit menu) to import a list of hosts based on existing entries (templates).

Hi,

does anybody know of a manual of some sort for the configuration text file.  I have a whole heap of checks to add to our current servers and would much prefer to do it via a text editor than with the mouse.

I have edited it with some luck but am getting some weird results when I open the edited file.

Thanks in advance.

Mike
