I do use the db logging. That is where I get the results. I need to parse the hosts file to get the UID of the disk test to map it to other parameters for the disk, like total size and the amount free at the last check. It's not enough to look just at the current free space on the disk. The rate at which the space is being used up is more important so we can head off a catastrophe before it happens.

Or you could have used the database logging (interchange format), which can also store within a field the available space.

I would like to see the entries in the hosts file output in XML format. I have a routine that compares available disk space over time and I had to write a function and stored procedure to extract the entry data from the text file for loading into a database. XML output would make this a lot easier.

Hi,
I would like to know if you would be interested in Servers Alive generating
XML output.
And if so what kind of info should be in it.
(if you have an example you can always send it directly to me).
Dirk.
