Something I've just noticed I'm having to do on a regular basis is manually
trigger the check on an entry and also all dependent entries after I've
done maintenance on the host. In a similar fashion to the right-click host
and select "Check entry now", is there a way to check an entry AND all host
checks dependent on it?
For example, I have to do some maintenance on a server so I put the SA PING
check for that host into Maintenance while I'm working. This also puts all
the dependent NT Service, Process and Disk Space checks into maintenance.
When I've finished the work I was doing on the server I want to be able to
go to SA, take the PING check out of Maintenance, manually check that entry
AND also have all the dependent checks run without having to manually do
the "check entry now" on every dependent check.
I do realise I could click the update button in SA to force a check cycle
but with 174 host checks and a check cycle that runs for just over 3
minutes I'd rather not have to wait.
Cheers,
Anthony
