Both Dirk. After install SA was set as "manual" start in the services. Initially I
tried to start SA by clicking the SA icon that did not work. I then tried to start by
right clicking in services and then start. Once again it failed and after about 10
minutes I got the timed out trying to start error.

Thanks Mike Brunt

Subject: [SA-list] Servers Alive Start Up Problems

We just downloaded and installed Servers Alive 4.1.x and are having
difficulties getting it to start up.

This is on a Windows 2000 SP4 machine. SA times out each time we try and
start it.

I have looked to see if there are any logs created but all we have in the
install log.

Can anyone throw any light on what may be happening.

Kind Regards - Mike Brunt
