Look 6 seconds to delete an entry and to get the GUI back to being responsive. (on my system, that's a P-iv-3000 with 1gb of RAM running on XPPro) Using the latest build of Servers Alive (4.1.1596 <- only difference between that and 4.1.1594 is the high encryption that can be used).

(See attached file: TNTSA4.zip) I actually timed it yesterday - approx. 2.5 minutes for the GUI to become responsive again after a host is deleted. This is about the same amount of time as it takes for SA to become responsive after initially launched. As mentioned in my original ost to list the machine running SA is a HP NetServer LC2000 (Dual PIII/800, 1GB RAM) running Win2K SP4. SA is 4.1.1594 running as console app. Running SA is the server's primary function. I just did a test with around 200 entries, deleted one and it took about 5 seconds to get my interface back. Can you send me (off-list) your hostfile and groups.grp file (within a ZIP file) Dirk. Maybe this in itself is not normal? This may be tied to the fact that when I first start SA it takes 2-3 minutes for the GUI to become responsive as it loads the host file. I only have 174 checks in my host file. <snap> --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus] To unsubscribe from a list, send a mail message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] With the following in the body of the message: unsubscribe SAlive --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus] To unsubscribe from a list, send a mail message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] With the following in the body of the message: unsubscribe SAlive The information contained in this email message and any attachment is for intended recipients only.
