Just added an option not to use MULTI when sending one SMPP message to multiple recipients (via one alert).
Option can be set via the SETUP-ALERT-SMPP

Subject: RE: [SA-list] Problem with SMPP pages

Looks like several providers are having problems with the multi option which is within the specs of smpp.....
Currently the only work-around (their problem) is to use multiple alerts.

Subject: [SA-list] Problem with SMPP pages

Hi,

I've hit a problem with sending alerts via SMPP. Alerts to a single person work fine, but if I list several numbers it fails. To be fair this isn't a problem as such with Servers Alive, but that our SMPP provider (HSL) doesn't support "Submit_Multi". Their comment was that not very many people do support that command.

I can work around this by adding additional alerts for each individual, but that's pretty tedious and loses all the advantages of groups. Any chance of Servers Alive using multiple Submit_SM commands instead of the Submit_Multi? (I think I've got the commands right - say if I'm talking nonsense!).

Many thanks,

Ian
