Subject: RE: [SA-list] Servers Alive problem on W3K Server Web Edition

Did a search on the internet and found this article:

it talks about the distribution of SQL 6/6.5 DMO libs with a app.  We did "think" about this however after some talks with MS it looked like it could become a license issue if we would distribute them with Servers Alive.  But maybe the article can help you "create" a SQL DMO install on the Win2003 web edition system.

Subject: [SA-list] Servers Alive problem on W3K Server Web Edition

Hi there,

I have Servers Alive installed and running on a windows 2003 web server.  We have just recently put up a server within our network that hosts several msde (SQL) databases.  I have tried to set up checks to monitor these databases but the Servers Alive machine needs the SQL DMO libraries.  Unfortunately I cant install the SQL 2000 client on a Windows 2003 web edition computer.  Does anyone know of an other way I can copy over just the necessary files I need for server alive to work, without having install the SQL client?
