Hi Dirk,

When you say "Yes it will", do you mean, that SA will wait for each alert to
finish before continuing on to the next one or that it won't?

If there is no wait for completion between alerts, can you add it to the
wishlist please? Maybe it could be a tickable option when adding alerts?
Alternatively, if poss., you could look at having dependancies in the
alerts, i.e. if alert 2 is set to be dependant on alert 1 then alert 2 will
not execute until alert 1 has finished.

Hope that wouldn't be too difficult to implement at some point in the
future.

Thanks,

Ali

Subject: [SA-list] Alert process

Hi,

Would it be true to say that SA performs the its alerts sequentially, top to
bottom and that it doesn't wait for one to finish before performing the next
one? e.g.

1. Send winpopup to user
2. Stop Win2K/NT Service
3. Restart Win2K/NT Server

In the above scenario will SA restart the server before it gets a response
from the stopping of the service?
