I would hope that by specifying the OID to be checked, the status criteria
could be built on the fly (in much the same way as a process or service
check). This would allow you to say:

        Alarm if <> Active

Then your %e parameter would contain the actual status, e.g. "onBattery" or
whatever.

Will that fly?
