Subject: [SA-list] Access rights problem when checking remote NT processI'm using SA 4.1.1609, on a Windows 2000 server. I logged in as the domain administrator; set up SA to monitor a couple of services on other servers. This works fine, and checks the services in question.
Now, however, I want to run SA as a service. I set it to start automatically, and it does that fine. I made no changes to my SA config. However, it can't access the services on the remote servers. I presume this is because the service runs a Local System Account, and not as the administrator account I used to set up the checks. Correct?
I can probably set the service to login as that administator account, but I'd prefer not to. Is there a way to have SA run as a Local System Account, and still be able to check remote services? Or is there some other to accomplish this, besides setting the service to run as the domain admin acct?
Thanks
