Is anyone using salive to check a firewall box? I have smoothwall on an old
166 pc with 3 nic's and I'm going to install it on my home (cable) network.
Was just thinking if the box should lock up can I be checking it with
salive and then (some how) reboot the box??? Maybe I could put the box on
an x-10 module and then turn it off and then back on ( that's no a
problem). I just don't know what I could (should) be checking with salive
to see that the box is working ok or needs to be rebooted??? Any thoughts,
ideas???
Also how can you reboot a win98 box remotely?
