Thanks for the tip Gene.  This app link was a little more than what I was
after.

I got one of my in-house developers to write me an exe for this, and I run it
as an external check returning a 0 value if the file exists with a created or
modified date of today, and a 1 if no file exits in the dir with a date of
today
