Hi everyone,

I cannot get a working test to our SQL Server using the "Database
(Microsoft SQL)" test. [Running SA v5 in Application mode on a Win2K
Server]

I have the Microsoft SQL Server client installed on this server and
successfully use MS Query Analyzer to connect and run queries. So the
connection parameters are enabled in SA for "Database (Microsoft SQL)".
I have tried every combination I can think of for DB Name. The name of
the server that SQL Server 2000 is running is BLDGS-DBPROD and the
database name is ITPR. I've tried all of the following:
BLDGS-DBPROD\ITPR, \\BLDGS-DBPROD\ITPR, ITPR, \ITPR I have checked the
username & password countless times. I only have the choice "SQL
7.0/2000" for "Libs to use". I have extended the timeout to 60 seconds.
(It only takes a second or two from Query Analyzer to connect, and I
connect using BLDGS-DBPROD\ITPR).

The error message I get from clicking Test is always as follows:

"Unsuccessful connection Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLState: 08001)
Error 0: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL Server does
not exist or access denied. [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server
Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen [Connect()]."

The error reported in logging is:

Tuesday, February 15, 2005 5:58:02 PM SQL Server Connection
Tuesday, February 15, 2005 5:58:10 PM BLDGS-DBPROD-IT0PR:Automation
error

Any ideas?

Thanks,
