That's not easy, we send a mail to query for support, but still get no answer.
We found a description for the UCP/EMI4.2-protocol
(http://www.vodafone.de/downloadarea/20174.html). It lists the access numbers
for ISDN and analog:
ISDN: +491722278000, +491722278010
Analog: +491722278020, +491722278020

and then modem settings:
Baud rate: 2400 ... 14400 Bit/s
Standard settings: 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit
Error-Control MNP4 or V.42(LAPM) must be used

Did you check with Vodafone in order to get the correct settings?

Subject: [SA-list] SMS to German D2

Hi,
can anybody help us to configure SMS-alarm messages? We use Vodafone D2 SMSC.
We try the recommended settings from mail archive (RE: SMS to D2, Oct 19,
2000), but we do not success. We try to reduce the modem speed (9600Bd,
2400Bd), but still get the same error (see log at the end of the mail).
There is no hardware error. We install a free program (vodafone
d2-messagego) and send successfully a SMS (this program calls 01722278025 to
send the message)

Thanks,
Peter Rohnacher
