Since a while SA has check item dependencies: subordinated checks won't happen if superordinated checks fail. So far a good feature.

But: during a check cycle, if the link to a remote server fails and a subordinated check currently runs, than I get a storm of alerts for all related check items. And only from the next cycle on the superordinated item is set on failure.

My suggestion: in such a situation (if a connection to a subordinated check item breaks) SA should be able to jump back from the lower item to its master item >>and check this again immediately<< --- then it would be possible for SA to send ONE SINGLE ALERT for the whole remote server with all its items!

This would safe my inbox from many many redundant alerts....

Regards

Klaus
