Problem 1 still exists. But if you change the name of the machine to its ip-adress it works. Proberly has something to do with multiple connections to one machine with different accounts.....
Problem 2. I can't reproduce it. If i get the error again i will let you know.
Is there someting to speed up the check? Its takes about 99 seconds for just 1 check!

SA version 5.0.1748 runs as an application although the service is installed. But that doens't matter i think.
Im running SA with an account that has not enough privilleges on the remote machine. I specified credentials in the authentication box. Like domain\username with a password.
I tried serveral machine's with different results:
Machine 1 W2K3:
Tuesday 14 June 2005 8:40:37 External COM check (W00000012,8):ERR: Unable to connect to host.( 7)
Machine 2 W2K3:
It works sometimes. But the time to check the event log is approx. 90 sec :( And I get sometimes the following error:
Tuesday 14 June 2005 8:47:02 ERR: COM Check problem (W00000012,8, 0):Object variable or With block variable not set
