There is a free addon on http://www.woodstone.nu/salive/addons.asp,
with this addon you can check for processes on a *nix system, it will use an SSH
connection for the check;

I found that ServersAlive have an option for checking a NT-process, but I use Unix. Does ServersAlive support check of process on Unix servers?

Servers Alive checks on process name
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf
Of Fladsrud Tom Hi! I want to check whether a process is up or down, and want an alert when it is down. Does Servers Alive check on Process ID only or could I use the process name in the check? (The process ID will be given a new value for each time it is started, while the process name remains constant. Do I have to use a script to get the pid, or does ServersAlive check on name?)
