What kind of alerts are you using?
If several then try to locate the one giving the issue by just having one
alert each time.  Then we can try to see what happens with that one specific
alerting type.

It seems that items that always down, and have no alert
Have no problems...

Items that are down with an alert are having the problems.

Where can I go from here?
