Title: RE: [SA-list] Bug?

I had a similar behavior.  I noted that it kept resetting to the default team before an email was ever sent from that alert, however, and (as the default team is empty for me) tried several times to set it to an active and configured team instead.

It consistently reset to default, as noted by Aidan.

It only happened with one particular entry, and I eventually resolved it by deleting the entry and recreating it.

I doubt that I can recreate the error, but at the time I wondered if the non-modal behavior of the windows in SAlive (which is handy) may have let me be sloppy enough to move to a different item with a hidden edit window open, shut down the software with an edit window open, or similar action on my part to create an unforeseen condition.  I also wondered whether I had changed a global setup option that would have affected the contents of that field, such as deleting a team that had already been configured for use in that alert.  As I was just starting to play with configuration and creation of checks, all of these are possible actions on my part prior to noticing the resetting issue.

I thought this information might be useful in your troubleshooting process.

I'm not able to repro that behaviour.
Could you send me (off list to DIRK at WOODSTONE dot NU) a registry dump.
Start regedit goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DBU Consulting\Servers
Alive\team and select EXPORT registry file.  Do the same with
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DBU Consulting\Servers Alive\Person.
Make a ZIP file of both .REG files and send me those.  I'll test with your
team/people settings.

Dirk.

Subject: [SA-list] Bug?

I haven't checked the archives, so forgive me if this has already been
covered.

Is this a bug in SA 5.0.1748?

I've created several people with a schedule for each and added those people
into a team called "it department". "it department" is the only active team
(i.e. the "default" team doesn't have "Active Team?" checked).

In the "Add/edit alert" dialogue > What tab > To: > clicking Add > selecting
"Team" > selecting "it department" > click Add > shows "To: {it
department}".

Clicking "OK" then shows in the Entry dialogue > Alert tab: "Send SMTP mail
(via primary server) to {default} when 1 times down (and when back up too)",
as opposed to "...to {it department}...".

Double-clicking the entry to re-edit it shows "To: {default}"; nevertheless,
the people in the "it department" group are e-mailed when the check for that
entry fails. BTW, I'm taking "{default}" to mean "the team *called*
default", rather than "the only active (and therefore default) team."
