Yes and no. We can limit the size of the message, but this is the size WITHOUT any headers/footers.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DBU Consulting\Servers Alive\SMTP\primary_max_size (string) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DBU Consulting\Servers Alive\SMTP\alternate_max_size (string) If = 0 or not in the registry then we don't limit the size in any way. This was ADDED AFTER the 5.0.1748 release and is ofcourse already in the current beta build (http://beta.woodstone.nu/soft/salive51.exe) Dirk. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Greg A Weigold Sent: Monday, December 05, 2005 9:27 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [SA-list] Question... Is there any way to limit the size of the SMTP messages? My problem is that often I get messages that take up 5 or 6 message slots on my phone! Cingular doesn't truncate like Verizon did, they just keep sending new messages until the whole thing has been sent! I have a pager that truncates at 200 chars, and that seems to cover 99% of the messages.... I have trimmed the message footers about as far as I can (time and date ONLY) but they're still too long. Just a thought... Thanks!
