Here's the scenario:
When few checks fail I need to be notified by my cell that it happened (internet connection for the company, mail server etc... obviously this would require a connection done through a modem, otherwise as long as the mail server is working we email to our T-mobile e-mail phone accounts and MS exchange email accounts).
We have a modem setup on the machine where SA is, it works with Numeric Paging just fine, but it's not of much help as it just calls, the number is our main phone number so there's no way to know what failed or if it was just someone from the company calling that hung up
Which brings me to alpha-numeric & sms paging, is there anyone that has SA setup to dial out to their t-mobile phones? (in our case HP iPaq 6325 pda/smart-phone)
I have two problems with getting this to work
1) While testing the alpha paging settings from setup, no matter what phone number I put in (for SMSC or recipient), SA never actually dials out.
2) I have the t-mobile SMSC #, but I'm not sure what protocol to use etc... Their support was not of much help.
