No worries.
I am about to inherit the management of an
enterprise voice switch and I'd like to get the same level of monitoring
on it's functions as I do with my data infrastructure through
SA.
The previous posts have given me enough pointers to
get the ball rolling.
I'll update when I have more
Cheers
Stephen

Monitoring
Stephen,
If you work out a way of doing this, I'd be very
grateful to hear about it! We have 25 PSTN router management lines around
Europe, all of which need checking on a regular basis...
Thanks,

Dear All, I would like to carry out an outbound dial check on our phone system
(normal PBX, not VoIP). Ideally I'd like SA to dial a pre-arranged number that and
show as up when it hears a ringing signal or if the phone is answered by a
pre-configured answer service. If it gets an engaged signal or no dial tone
then the check would show as down.
Is anyone doing anything like this or have any
suggestions how how it could be done?
Cheers
Stephen
