The holiday feature is a "PERSON" feature, if you look at a person (EDIT - PERSON) you'll see it.
The new option will be something for v6 Dirk. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Vogl, Tom Sent: Wednesday, December 28, 2005 10:26 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [SA-list] New feature Request - Holidays That would be perfect. I was looking at 5.0.1680 and it doesn't have a holiday schedule. Yes - your description would be perfect - the ability to prevent a specific alert on a holiday and I think the SCHEDULE tab is the correct place to put it. Rather than treat the alert as a Sunday I would like to completely skip the alert if this new box is checked. That way we have the best set of options: If you don't enter holidays - everything runs as normal. If you enter holidays, you can treat alerts as a Sunday. (holiday feature you mentioned) If you enter holidays and check this box, you can individually set alerts to be ignored completely. (that list is used for the people feature - on a holiday we can act as on a Sunday for people - using the Sunday schedule instead of the Monday/..) So the checkbox per configured alert should hthen be on the "SCHEDULE" tab of each alert? I see the HOLIDAY list as just a list of dates, entered via FILE, SETUP. The ALERT SCHEDULE page would have the IGNORE ALERT DURING HOLIDAY check box as part of the "use schedule" setting. Reasoning: I have many alarms that are not tied to system status, rather they monitor business functions. For example, the out-bound fax count hasn't changed in 10 minutes. During a weekday this could indicate a problem, on the weekend we don't check it. But on the day after Christmas (Monday) I got tons of warnings that no one was faxing anything. Just a thought.... -tom To unsubscribe from a list, send a mail message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] With the following in the body of the message: unsubscribe SAlive To unsubscribe from a list, send a mail message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] With the following in the body of the message: unsubscribe SAlive To unsubscribe from a list, send a mail message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] With the following in the body of the message: unsubscribe SAlive To unsubscribe from a list, send a mail message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] With the following in the body of the message: unsubscribe SAlive
