The footer is an additional footer, not a replacement of the existing one.
To remove the existing one there is a registry setting in the doc (do a
search on "Mail generated by" in the doc)

I've created the registry entries to replace the default SMTP footer with
just time and date (to save space on SMTP messages to cellphones) but it
just doesn't seem to want to go away...
This happens on some of my servers, but not all....
The footer I'm getting is:
Mail generated by Servers Alive at Tuesday, January 17, 2006 10:49:56 AM
10:49 1/17/2006
All I want is time & date....
Any idea why this is happening?
