Is there anyway to alter the Smtp2POP3 check to allow for a custom email to be sent from another program such as Automate. For example Automate is being used to check a process or service on server and then send an email, or doesn't send an email depending on the circumstances whether that process or service is running.
The reason this is being done rather than simply use one of the process or service checks. Is the network connection is less than stellar, and is not a factor I have any influence over. Anything beyond a ping check results in the tests timing out or authentifications failing, resulting in a lot of white noise and SysAdmins being woke up at 3am for nothing. I have also tried adjusting timeouts and turning on second knock to no avail. Any suggestions would be greatly apprcieated.
