You're right it's missing from the doc.
And to be complete it should also include as possible values:
TCP, DNS, RADIUS, STREAM, PERFMON
It will be something for the v6 doc.
We're also thinking about a special HTML template doc with more examples and
some better info, that should be ready before v6 :-)

I don't think anyone has requested this yet, but apologies in advance if
it is a duplicate:
On page 87 of the documentation there is a list of possible values for
SA_CHECK. Please add TCP to that list of possible values.
We found this because we utilize a custom protocol that sends output to
an html page and after the upgrade to v5.1 it would no longer output to
the webpage. The custom protocol used to report under Winsock (which
was probably incorrect, but it worked). Now, the only way to get the
information to display to the html page is by changing SA_CHECK in HTML
to look for TCP.
We also have a 5.0 instance running, and the change did not occur until
5.1.
