I want to try and monitor the state of hardware in my Dell Servers using Servers Alive as the "monitoring station." I have installed and configured SNMP on the both the monitoring station and the monitored server(s). I think I did this right, because the Dell IT assistant software can see the Dell servers, and the SNMP connectivity test passes, showing I have read and write access. I searched the SA mailing list archive and read all the posts I could on SNMP. In one was a reference to GetIf, which I downloaded and installed. I can run it and point it at my servers, and the MB Browser tab displays gobs of information that I assume are the OIDs. What is the syntax for an SNMP check in Servers Alive? No matter what I put in the "Check" box, when I click on test I get "Please enter a hostname and OID." Thanks for any help.
