To
all-
I've enabled
RRDTools through Setup->Logging->RRDTools. I've defined the
directory and names for both of the databases. Running the generated 'Create'
script builds the appropriate databases. I've also specified a folder path for
each graph (Hour, Day, Week, Month, and Year).
Running the
generated 'Graph' script does produce a graph for each entry where the
'Roundtrip' and 'CheckResult' logging is enabled.
The problem I'm
encountering is I'm looking for a way to display some of the timings on a
graph. I need to produce Daily, Monthly, and Yearly graphs which I can
present to our management team. I'd like these graphs to include the
uptime and downtime for a day. If an entry is down for a given interval, I need
to state the length of that interval.
I've also enabled
database logging for Statistical logging and Interchange data, hoping I could
write a small program to produce my needed graph results. The problem
there lies with Statistical logging only writing to the database when entries
state changes. I don't know how I can generate the needed graphs from the given
data.
Please let me know
if anyone may have some examples showing how to generate graphs outlining this
data. I'm fairly new to RRDTools, so any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Regards.
