From the page you mention, there is a link to update.ini
(http://download.nai.com/products/datfiles/4.x/nai/update.ini)
and that's the one we're using and that once still shows
833....

Ironic, when I'd just sent a message to say that the AV check was working really well, that it chooses this moment to have a problem...
The addon is reporting that the web version of McAfee is 833, and the local version is 834. (Read that again - local is newer than web!) In fact the local version is indeed 834, but so is the web version (at least according to http://www.mcafee.com/apps/downloads/security_updates/dat.asp?region=uk&segment=enterprise). What's going on?
