Simple solutions: create a new COM check for this
The countfiles com check can only OR count directories OR files  and that within a given directory.  It will not do this recursivly.

I’m using the CountFiles Check (External COM) to monitor the incoming directory of a mail server.  The mail server vendor has changed the way the directory structure functions so that there are subdirectories created on the fly where the e-mail files are temporarily stored until they are processed on through the system.  These directories are constantly changing names (new ones are created and once the older ones are emptied, they are deleted), and their names are consecutive numbers that increment up by one digit each time a subdirectory is created.  I need a way count the total files in all of these subdirectories (the count of subdirectories also varies from 2 or 3 to up to at least 10 and possibly more).  Any ideas?
