SA can populate the db.  If you want to create a report from that db, you'll need a report writer.

Is there any documentation on how to create reports ( other than executive alerts ) that I could email each morning to show uptime, downtime, duration of outage, etc.?

Can I do it with JUST Servers Alive and a backend DB, or do I need another reporting tool to extract the data?

The column names are not 100% correct in your mail.

Host:    prettyname OR hostname

UniqueID: unique ID given by SA

status: current status (1=down, 3=unavailable,4=maintenance, 5=up)

previosustatus: previousstatus

laststatuschange: when did it change from previousstatus to status

previousstatuschange: when did it change to previousstatus

timing: time it was on previousstatus

Hi – I’m a bit confused about certain columns that Salive creates and logs in SQL:

Could someone clear up the exact meanings of these fields?

Table:  salivestats

Columns:  statuschange, laststatuschange, previousstatuschange, timing, uniqueid, hostid

Thanks,

Div
