It gets worse, now the service crashes everytime I start it (it runs some
minutes, only to crash some minutes later).

When you run it as application, is it then also running the checkcycle?

The SA Version used is ServersAlive Version 6.0.2056.

I would say that the application crashes but I get no error messages or
anything.

Using User/PW for the diskspacetests seems to be a good idea, though.

For your diskspace checks you could also specify a username/password and that
way it can run as service using the system account with desktop interaction.

When you say "application stopped", could you explain a bit more what you mean
with that?

Also what exact version/build of Servers Alive are you using?

Subject: [SA-list] Problem with SA6 running as Applikation

Whenever I run our SA6-Server as Application (to change Settings etc) it
behaves peculiar. Whenever I leave it alone for some minutes (and ones or twice
during doing something on the machine) the application stopped. When running as
service, it runs for day without problems, but as app, it isn’t very
stable. Is stopping the service and starting the application still the only way
to edit something on SA6 as my colleagues tell me it is on SA5? When running
the service via the local system account, I got the task icon for SA in the
tray and could start that to edit things, but unfortunately to get some disk
space checks running, it has to run under another account, where I don’t
get the icon.
