I installed the vew version (6.1.2150) ontop of the old one(2149), like I
did before. This time, removing that Threading registry key, then starting
the new version and it locked up on the first check. Stopped dead. Just
thought I'd let you know.

Hi,

As you know the updated logging of SA did make SA hang on your system
(threading enabled), and we were never able to reproduce the problem.

The developper did take a look at it and found a possible cause of this
hanging.
Would it be possible for you to test this updated logging?
The salive61.exe installed that is on http://beta.woodstone.nu has been
updated with the updated logger component (the version of SA didn't change
for that).
Could you install it (re-enabled the treading by setting
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DBU Consulting\Servers Alive\Log\Threading to 1)
and try it? If it hangs again, then you can simply reset the registry value
back to 0.

Thanks.

Thank you for the fix. After installing the latest beta version and adding
that registry key, all is working fine, as usual. Keep up the good work.

In the middle of an update, it just stops. If I press Update, it'll work
for a bit, then stop again, and not always in the same place. I tried
ending the Service, and re-starting it, but it usually locked up on Stopping
the service.
I reset the PC(running windows 2000), and again, it'll work for one or 2
checks, then stop again. Don't know what is causing it. Again, the version
I backgraded to v2125, is working fine, without issue.

What build are you talking about?
Define "locked up".

I am using v6.1.2125 of SAlive. I have tried upgrading to the latest beta
version of SAlive, and it locked up almost everytime it tried to update.
Other then that, the betas for me have been pretty stable.
