The only COM checks that uses the same checking URL as Servers Alive is the webApp checker. The others are not sharing any specific files (except the typical C/C++/VB runtime files)

I didn't have the problem with v5 but upgraded to v6 to overcome an intermittent hanging issue. Since restarting the service every 48 hrs, the problem has not come back. Yup, the same symptoms. I have been speaking to Woodstone support but so far we have not come up with a resolution. The Oracle check is using the 'service' of the Oracle client DLLs and these are telling that they can't resolve the name that you're using for the Oracle check.
