Shook Sent: Saturday, November 24, 2007 8:35 PM To: Servers Alive Discussion List Subject: [SA-list] RRD woes with 6.0.2056 ---On behalf of Aevorn:--- Hi, I'm having tremendous trouble setting up RRD, in the following manner: 1) Install RRD and configure as per the instructions on http://www.woodstone.nu/salive/howtorrd.asp 2) When I try to set the subdirectories under SETUP-LOGGING-RRDTOOLS-TYPES-[ROUNDTRIP | CHECKRESULT | UPDOWN], I can't manage to get Servers Alive to remember my settings correctly. I'll type in the directories and press "Apply". Close down Servers Alive and start it again, and it may recall one subdirectory but forget the other two. If I enable "Read startup settings from registry" and edit the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREDBU ConsultingServers AliveRRD), these values aren't read correctly. If I add "" before and after the subdirectory name, it does not difference, nor does adding "" only before. This results in my getting incorrectly generated scripts, and subsequent failures when generating the assocuated databases and graphs. Any help would be most welcome.
