I guess something like that is possible. HOWEVER we would need some coorporation for some users/testers in order to make this.
A first step would be to try this on our own systems with some "standard" stuff that should be running on all/most Linux systems (any tips/hints on commands/outputs we could use for testing?) A 2nd step would be to test this on "your" systems to see if it can real help/fit.
