SNMP Setup etc. I'd say that Rusell doesn't have a correct OID. Get iReasoning MIB Browser (free) and run SNMP Walk on that device and you'll see all the OIDs a device is providing. Petr

An OID is something like: 1.2.567.345.2345.234.1.24.23.1.0 Dirk Bulinckx. From: Servers Alive Discussion List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Russell Renton Sent: Thursday, April 24, 2008 1:41 AM To: Servers Alive Discussion List Subject: [SA-list] SNMP Setup etc. Hi All, I am trying to setup an SNMP check (and I know nothing about SNMP) for a temperature probe. The agent sent me a MIB file and I added it to the MIB database. This add gave no errors. When I run the check I get an error "noSuchObject" How do I know if the MIB file provided is what is needed and what does that error message mean. I suspect it means that the MIB file is not what is required. Any assistance greatly received.
