I know not supported but I've been running the latest betas currently v6.2.2340 on W2k8R2 as an application not a service. I have had to re-boot several times as a few Servers Alive checks will have problems and the only way to fix it is to re-boot. I did not have any trouble installing SA. I did have to manually register a couple of add-ons. What is the timetable for W2K8R2 support

Lol.. make sure it is being ârun as an administratorâ also maybe reboot the server? Could be a stuck process that you cannot see running. Thank you, anthony Laatz Appletree Answering Services, Inc. Which is why I have not had any support questions for the past 18 months.....until now. This seems simple but I am not sure where to start looking. When I try to launch Servers Alive (as an application of course wince it server 2008) it gives me an error saying you can have only one instance of servers alive running. Which seems self explanatory however there are no serversalive.exe in the process list. The service is disabled (when run as a service it uses the 8.3 name and I checked that there were non running). Dirk can you perhaps shed light on how Servers Alive determines if it is running. I cannot see it in task manager or using a third party utility or with pslist.
