Can you check if the firewall of Win2008 is accepting netbios calls?

Subject: [SA-list] NT service check

We have one of our Windows 2008 R2 servers that just recently began rejecting
NT service checking with an error message that says, “Error getting the
service information from <IP Address> (1722- 0-) The RPC server is
unavailable.” We think it has something to do with removing the Symantec
antivirus client which have been controlling the firewall but we are not sure
about that. Does anyone have any insight into this issue?
