Create the multiple entries....then create a textfile with the new hostname/IP
and using the EDIT-IMPORT feature...

I'm guessing you mean Clt-D the entry and change the copy to whatever?
Per entry is very tedious and error prone I think.

I should have elaborated to mean a template for 'multiple' checks per
server. Does that explain it a bit better?

This can be done per entry...you can create a "template" and create
entries based on that template.

The ability to create, save, apply host check templates?

E.g. Create a template for a windows 2008 server that has a series of
host checks, disk space, snmp, etc then apply when adding a new host
machine.
