If you create a new entry and select EXTERNAL COM\MAILFLOW as check type (assuming you installed the SMTP2POP3 COM check from http://www.woodstone.nu/salive/addons.php), you'll see that in the interface you can set the OPERATION MODE. Set that to SMTP & IMAP.
