Is it possible to capture the SMTP dialog between Server’s Alive and the primary/alternate SMTP mail servers?
The log, currently set to maximum, simply logs “INFO: Alerting SMTPP”. While I believe this should be enough to report that an alert has been sent, assuming no subsequent error, sometimes I need more proof. I thought a transcript of the SMTP session showing the receiving E-Mail server accepting the message might help. Can this be done currently? Added in the future?
