We use Hyper-V here. CPU Utilization, Memory usage, machine state (running, paused, stopped) would be the most useful checks. However hyper-v function alerts would be even more useful. Check the hyper-v State it is paused, then Start/resume virtual machine alert kicks off.

I think that we should have more specific virtulization based checks. Now the first thing that pops-up is, will it be VMWare or Hyper-V or both? Ofcourse both would be best, but I would like to know what you guys are using (and would like to monitor). Also tell me what you would like to monitor via Servers ALive on those platforms. dirk -- Dirk Bulinckx Servers Alive - http://www.woodstone.nu DNS Hosting on StellarDNS - http://www.stellardns.com To unsubscribe send a message with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line to [email protected] If you use auto-responders (like out-of-the-office messages), make sure that they are not sent to the list nor to individual members.
