It did work (that was how I used to save copies with ready-modified 
DVARs, for example). Perhaps you were saving from the wrong address, 
don't rely on it loading at the same address the previous file's DIR 
info claims it was saved at. Remember to allow for the nine bytes of 
file header if you're calculating where the magic string is located.
