You asked us to call in so here goes:
1) I have two Sam Coupes, both 512k, one with single DD, one with Double DD
2) Both are pretty much OK, except the disc drives sometimes refuse to work, & drive me crazy!
3) Used one or the other extensively until last September, as word processors, using Tasword 3)
At that point Panasonic printer (almost new) went barmy, and so far Panasonic have been unable
to fix my problem for me. Its definitely the Printer, not the Sams. So large project presently
on hold. (This e-mail comes via an Apple I-Mac G4). I definitely want to get the whole thing
up and running again asap.
4) Several games, Prince of Persia, Manic Miner etc also unused (not cased) music hardware unit.
5) new hardware, maybe, what have you in mind? Something to get round the dodgy disc drives?
6) Just possibly
7) I dont know, really.
8) Not anywhere near up to the programming knowledge that is evident from the e-mail chat.
9) as for 8
10, Not at all, keep it up lads, I still firmly beleive it a very remarkable machine, the capaabilities of
which I only use the tiniest part of.
PS1 Still have my Spectrum 48K with 2 x Microdrives, and printer, all still work, I think.
2 Also still have manuals and (maybe) the machine - an NEC small computer, very old, does
anyone want this sort of thing??
3 Not being a programmer, I really do need to leave the list, and just keep in touch via the mag.
I have tried to leave this list, cannot cope with 100+ e-mails in 24 hours, but seem not to be
able to do so. Will someone please repeat the instructions for UNSUBSCRIBE.
