Hi Guys

After a bit of feedback, I would just like to say a few words.

When the SAM was launched I was a spotty 15 year old,
loved the speccy to bits, and was a speccy addict,
programming basic games and (in my eyes) improving
the old type in games from Sinclair User/Programs. I would
naturally have upgraded to the the SAM, but just couldn't
justify or even raise the money to buy a SAM, that was why
I didn't buy one. Since leaving school I have worked in the
computer game, and have obviously collected a load of
hardware, in the garage.....To the point that I now have about
15 pc's and enough hardware to maybe make another 10,
which I would be glad to give away.......If there's any taker's
out there give me a shout, BTW......I have also a bit of a
collection of older 8 and 16 bit machines, ie. 4 speccy's,
2 Atari ST's, 3 Amiga's, a ZX81, 2 MSX's, 2 Atari 2600's,
a Z88, and a Megadrive, of which most were either given to
me to free up loft space, or a tenner here and there, I think the
max I paid was 40 for the Z88, after a few Memory packs etc,
I think I paid 25 on Ebay for a +3 machine, which I will soon
have an IDE disc on etc....

What I think I am trying to say is that I have obviously done the
SAM emulation bit, and would really love to have an original,
but don't agree with people profiting from machines they don't
use, that are just collecting dust, just because other people are
prepared to pay a certain price.....

All The Best,

Matt Shaw

Yes, what price were you thinking of paying?
I paid 'stupid Ebay' prices and I thought they were reasonable considering
the rarity of the items...
Meaning around or more than 100 UKP for a system.

-----------------------------------

100 is fine for a SAM in good condition - but the last SAM I saw on Ebatty
was about 200 quid.... plus about 40 shipping from the US :(

fortunately thanks to a very kind mailing list member - i've now got one...
so I'm a very happy chap! (Even if Citylink took several days to deliver :(

Did you get any luck with that software Fred btw?
