The same thing has happened to me on more shows than I can remember! :)

Ah - I understand. The PC-ZX interface itself is a very clever Spectrum
interface, which is remapped by use of the SAM-Spectrum Bus interface?
Sounds like a good idea really... Does this work with other Spectrum
hardware? Is the interface itself pretty big?

A good GUI is something I would buy ... the Driver was good (despite having
its faults...) but I'm sure something could be done much better... specially
if it was designed with a hard drive in mind :)
